Of all the knives I have carried and tried over the years, the Benchmade 940 is my favorite one. It isn't even near what you want as it isn't assisted opening, is longer, and much more expensive, but it is a great all around knife!

For a three inch assisted blade in your price range I would probably say the Kershaw Cryo or whatever it is called.

Thanks all. I think I am going to look more into the Leek as they are USA made and maybe a ganzo just cause.

Same reason as SOL for a lot of knives. Different colors or blades and if you lose one or dull one, then you already have a backup. I use that ken onion grinder type sharpener and it works great, I just hate using it for one lone knife. I prefer to get them all out and do them at the same time...working through one belt (grit or whatever you call it) for them all and then changing the belt and doing them all through the next one.

Ended up getting a razor edge CRKT M16.

Will be buying something else a little bigger but this is great for work
