My camera will not zoom in that close. I did write down the following off of the blade of the middle knife on the left:BIGC wrote:I can help if you can get me an upclose shot of the tang stamp.
Just from what I can see they are all #5 (stag handle) and it looks as if maybe a set of 1 of each pattern from that year.
If you are in the Louisville area there is a gentleman that sets up inside at the Shepherdsville (awesome) flea market that can tell you more about them..
I'm sure this is a stupid question, but wouldn't all of this be worth more as the "Dealer Set"?BIGC wrote:IF and I mean if it is a 1976 5172 SSP in mint condition the book value is $175 in Jim parkers last book from 2010 right before he died. (I don't have any updated books unfortunately because I don't know another good one to trust on value yet)

Sounds good.. I want to make sure that I have enough insurance to cover my firearms, paintball gear and the knives in my plan.guncrank1 wrote:11x 175.00= 1925
Notice I said minimum retail in a gun shop
Not the value of the set BIC C
Icehouse I would suggest you get a written apprasil for the value of your collection.
I tell you what , you get BigC the info and when you get your lower, set you up
With a written apprasil from my letterhead.
Plus I have a camera that can take real close pictures
This is a good idea. I should look into this myself.icehouse1 wrote:Sounds good.. I want to make sure that I have enough insurance to cover my firearms, paintball gear and the knives in my plan.guncrank1 wrote:11x 175.00= 1925
