Coke Bottle Solar light

This seems to be a pretty neat idea. Would be an easy way to light a shed with no electric, or other funtional uses.

Camp lantern is made from a LED headlamp and a water bottle, just run the strap around the water bottle so the light shines in side and it make a great lantern

Haven't watched the vido yet (I do that at home and currently at work), if I remember my history, didnt they embed prisms in the decks of ships to shed light below decks without needing to burn lamps? Similar idea.

I love the tidbits of great info in these threads

It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters. - Daniel Webster

The ancient Egyptians used mirrors to reflex light down shafts to light up interiors.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.
