1999 Cadillac Deville (NICE!) (Price Added

Post by ProCroation » Sun Jun 15, 2014 2:36 pm

Hey guys, I have another car to sell. This one is not on Craigslist yet.

It's a 99 Deville with a bit over 160k miles on it. It was one of my clients cars and I've done quite a bit of service on it over the last few years before closing my shop.

I'm in the process of fixing it right now. When I sell it, the car will be running with nothing wrong with it besides minor cosmetics (the usual paint chips/scratches/minor dents). I bought it and I'm waiting for the title to it now.

It "broke down on him".... All that was wrong was the ignition actuator rack in the steering column. The ignition key tumbler was loosely spinning 180 degrees because the rack broke in half and was not pushing the ignition switch rod down the column to start the car. I bought new parts from the GM dealership and have the column torn apart as we speak. He was quoted $750 for a whole new steering column and I swore to him that it couldn't cost that much to fix. He didn't believe me and just bought a new car. So I bought this one and I was right. $60 bucks for me to fix it myself. Parts will be in my hands in the morning.

I just figured I'd give you guys first dibs and a heads up. I should have it fixed this week and the title in a few weeks. So please don't be in a rush. Just know that it will be here. Now you all have time to get your moneys together. hehe. :llama:

Here is a picture of it in my driveway. Took this just a few days ago.

$1,500

A cop stopped me on the street and said "we're looking for a mugger who fits your description" , so I said "okay I'll do it".

Sorry, I could have sworn I put the price in the ad but I'm not sure what the hell happened.

Yeah Todd, it's a nice car overall. The back seat area looks like no one ever rode in the car really. He had no kids that I know of. I planned to wash, wax and vacuum the car once I finish working on it. Small little tear in the driver leather seat from sliding in and out of the car. The guy is about 400 plus pounds so it was bound to happen. Otherwise, I bought it because it was in impressive condition and I knew it was a great running car that would bring me some profit.
