S&W 4506-1 Stainless .45, factory fixed sites, one magazine

Post by ScottDeetch » Wed May 27, 2015 9:24 pm

No history. Just bought a new 1911 and need to make room. I've put less than 20 rounds through it before I got the deal on the 1911. In very good shape. No case or paperwork. Kentucky license or CCDW. Louisville/Taylorsville area.

I love these S&Ws. I need this to go with my 1026, but my fiancée may use it on me if I buy another gun.

It is a nice shooting gun. I was really pleased till I got my 1911. They are soooo nice and I got such a good deal. Shouldn't have bought the second one so I'm selling it too. Got another one I'm looking at. If I had more money I'd just keep them all.

Third generations Smiths are wonderful. Lots of police departments used them until the much cheaper glocks started ruling the roost. They are well build for sure. I have several and they are all good shooters. Love the 3rd gennies.

GLWS somebody will get a great gun...

Question, does your mag have the metal, orange, yellow or black follower?

My 4566 mags have yellow followers, I am just curious as to this one...metal was very early, then followed with the no dashes in orange, then yellow then black as they were improved. I believe most any can be upgraded to current, not sure about metal ones, tho.
