WTS/WTT H&K USP Compact .40S&W

Post by Jeff.W » Fri Apr 20, 2012 7:22 pm

Love this gun to death but I'm really trying to consolidate to just a couple different calibers.

Fantastic condition, no scratches/blemishes or any real signs of wear. Round count is unknown but definitely appears to be under 500. Looked to be brand new when I bought it and have put less than 300 through it myself.

(more detailed pics coming soon)

Comes with:
- (2) 12rd mags
- GG&G rail adapter
- Original case
- Original HK lock, paperwork etc.

Looking to get $525 as is or $600 with the Streamlight TLR-1S

Also have 900rds of .40S&W that I can include with the sale or that will be for sale separately once the gun has sold.

As far as trades go, really only looking for another HK in either 9mm or .45 acp. Just let me know what you've got (USP, HK45, P30 etc.). I can/will add cash for the right deal.

Located in the Louisville area, but would be willing to drive a bit for serious buyers. Right now it's strictly a FTF sale in KY and will require a valid KY drivers license upon purchase. If you have any questions or if I've left anything out feel free to PM or email me at JSWM3 (@) yahoo (dot) com

I was thinking the same thing. I'm guessing to varify the buyer is a Kentucky resident?

A drivers license is required so that I can verify that the buyer is in fact both a resident of Kentucky and is of legal age to purchase a handgun (which happens to be 21 in the state of KY).

Not true, only if buying from FFL.

18 year old can purchase a handgun. It's not illegal. I'll even get a link for you.

However, federal law does still prevail and it says 21 to purchase. State laws cannot circumvent federal but only make it stricter. 18 may own one but has to be a gift or inherited as I understand it.

Correct ad incorrect.

Federal law says you have to be 21 to buy from a FFL.

A 18 year old can buy from a individual, or it can be gifted or inherited.

Do you happen to have link or reference to the statute that specifically cites this ? Would like to make absolute certain of this before doing so. Maybe my google-fu is weak but 20 minutes of digging and I couldn't find a single law, piece of legislation or anything definitive on the matter.

I put the OC link in my post.

There is no law that says you can, there's no law that says an INDIVIDUAL can't either.

It DOES say anyone under 21 CANNOT buy from a FFL.

You only have to be 18 to own a fire arm in KY be it handgun or rifle.

It's just like OC there is no law against it but nothing says you can.

It's on preference if you don't feel comfortable dont do it. However it is legal.
