Got the Troy Tomahawk stock on a trade. Comes in at about 23 1/4" collapsed from muzzle to butt stock end. The stock is pretty simple to operate. Seems solid. Need that stamp for the suppressor to hurry up!!

Has 2 buttons. The square one is to position the stock and the round is to hold the buffer back to release the rear pin to get to the bcg or to take the upper off the lower.

Nice! I hate to ask what a Troy stock cost, the answer may give me heart failure.

I traded into the one I got. If I were to buy a pdw stock, I'd save the extra and buy the MVB Arc stock. Just my .02.

Yeah, I priced that one, too: $450 is a little too stiff for me.

According to the MVB website, their stock is 4 7/8" from the back of the buffer tube to the receiver. Measured the Troy, and it's a smidge over 5".

So, are you saying that "a smidge over 1/8" less length costs $130? :llama:

Yeah, I'll cut a butt stock sized hole in my shirt to make up the 1/8"

There is a vast difference in the materials used on the stocks. The Troy has a plastic buttstock. The MVB is all aluminum, IIRC.

The MVB is a one hand operation. The Troy, not so much.

No, I get it. Had I not traded for this stock, I may have gone on and spent the money for the MVB. I still may end up buying one, except for the 9mm sbr. I just got my barrel for that today. It is about 19" from the muzzle to the buttstock. I could lop off another 3" with a PDW stock. MVB makes one specific to the 9mm AR.

It looks funny without the rail on it for sure. I'm still trying to figure out which one. I've been looking at the Spikes 7" M-lok and a Seekins Precision MCSR V2 7" handguards. Both have enough space for a suppressor inside.

Decided to go with the Seekins MCSR rail for my 9mm build. Ordered it this morning fro JBO. Had a tracking number with an expected Saturday delivery. Love JoeBob's! Also picked up an adjustable gas block and linear compensator for the 300BLK. Hopefully, I may get to sling some lead with them this weekend.
