Re: Common thread?
Looks like most of the aftermarket .45 barrels are .578x28. I'm guessing that would most likely be what I need and thread adapters for 9mm's and metric thread guns?

Re: Common thread?
.578 x 28 is standard thread for .45 handguns. The others marked are the common threads for their respective calibers.
The metric threads are going to be prevelant on factory threaded SIGs, Glocks, & HKs, mostly. Most aftermarket barrels for those guns are going to be the fractional SAE threads.

On most of any other common threaded barrels, are the thread adapters pretty readily available?Wyldman wrote:.578 x 28 is standard thread for .45 handguns. The others marked are the common threads for their respective calibers.

Re: Common thread?
Yessir, they can be ordered direct from SiCo and availability is very good. I believe RexT often has the most common ones in stock, I have gotten about half of mine from him. The rest I ordered direct.
FYI, all of the Octane thread adapters also work with the Osprey cans. This was one big reason I bought the Octane .45HD, instead of the Ti-Rant. I already had the thread adapters for my Osprey. SiCo's sterling customer service & extraordinary warranty also figured heavily in my decision.

Sounds great... I'm sold on the Octane .45HD. Just need to go for it. What the hell, it's only money and it can't go with me...haha Just need to decide if it's worth the $200 difference in service buying semi-local over The Silencer Shop.

You will never be sorry doing business with RexT. I have found his pricing to be very competitive and his customer service is absolutely second to none. I do all my class III business with him, and I have never regretted it, ever. He has bent over backwards to help me out, even when I made stupid mistakes or he really didn't have to lift a finger & no one would have ever blamed him. He's just that kind of guy.

Re: Common thread?
It's almost a big enough difference to cover the stamp. I still may use RexT though. I absolutely like to support local as much as possible but the difference in price is a few $'s shy of covering the tax stamp and Lincoln Arms would actually be the one handling my paperwork. $200 is $200, It's still a hard decision to make.
