This maybe “SSDD”. But I believe it to be much more than that. As I read this assimilation of gobbledygook contained within this Biden’s proposal, I see it reaching much farther that I ever imagined possible before. It lists its main target as I read it as “semi automatic rifles”. To me that is also to include any calibers, Not just our AR’s, AK’s, Springfield A-1’s, Garrands, .30 Caliber Carbines or Ruger Mini 14’s. No, I read this to also include Marlin Model 60’s, Ruger 10/22’s, etc. I know & understand the Gun Control Lobby will take anything & everything they can get & call it a victory for their self anointing cause. But as previously alluded to, in the end it will do absolutely nothing to remove firearms from the hands of criminals. The endless slaughter of human beings in this country’s inner cities at the hands of gang members & drug dealers fighting for more turf to do their bidding will continue. Furthermore, this urban warfare will probably escalate exponentially into the suburbs & rural areas due to the fact that more & more law abiding citizens will be disarmed & unable to defend themselves, their families or their property. Or at a bare minimum, only have rocks & pea shooters to lob back at their would be attackers. Even if one is allowed to maintain one or even a few of their most favored firearms, depending of course on their ability to pay the required taxes & fees, what about those of us that may have been fortunate enough to have amassed a lifetime collection of firearms as a beloved hobby? I don’t hunt, I don’t indulge in criminal activity, I don’t actively participate in organized shooting sports, I don’t need firearms in my line of work. But collecting various firearms has been a lifetime hobby for me. One of these anti-Gun perpetrators may look at my collection & say, “He’s insane. Nobody should allowed to have that.” To them I say, “This is America & up until now as an American, I have had the freedom to work hard, save my extra money when there was some & invest it in whatever legal activity I chose to do so. Over my many years I have chosen to collect a few fine examples of history’s firearms.
I am primarily the only person who sees most of them as I keep them locked away. As an adult, this is what I do. This is what I’ve always done since I’ve been of legal age to do so.” Now we seem to find ourselves in a political climate that dictates I have been wrong all these years. That my actions have been less than honorable. To the political factions pushing this narrative I say: “I don’t understand your stand against my God given rights. You can suggest or insist your intentions are for the good of this country all you want. But I will go to my grave believing that this is just another step toward your goals of destroying all our freedoms & taking us ever closer to a Socialist/Communist country. My only guess is that it is your desire to be the one on top of the heap when we get there. To that I say there will be a special place in Hell reserved just for you & those aspiring to be just like you. But then, you don’t believe in God, so you probably don’t believe in Hell. So my final conclusion is you must be attempting to turn America into Hell. That will occur when the only ones left to possess firearms are the various members of government AND all the criminals contained within...”
