Executive Order kills arms imports from Russian

Tracking this currently: Executive Order 13662. Indefinitely bans, among other things; the importation of all Kalashnikov Concern (including Izhmash) products such as the wildly popular Saiga series of sporting rifles and shotguns in the US. Full details at the Treasury link below. Given the direction of the this administration, past executive orders and the actions of the BATFE regarding 7N6 5.45mm I would wager a strong bet that this most recent infringement is FAR more about domestic regulation and unlawful restriction based on an agenda than it is about any real impact in the situation between Russia and Ukraine. Burn up the phones and e-mails to your representatives and let them know that this is utterly unacceptable! The chances of this being lifted if the situation improves or perhaps in 2016 even IF (emphasis on IF) there is a sea-change in Washington is relatively slim. This is sickening.

Very true. With Saiga conversions being a portion of my business, this hits close to home. As high-strung AK followers reeling in the wake of the 7N6 ban, I can see why the AK Forum is buzzing about as it is. My personal headache tonight stems from the consistent, incremental infringement that we in the industry and the shooting hobbies have had to put up with since, well; I guess around 1934. It's sickening to me... On tomorrows agenda: Update the website with MPAP/NPAP/M70 conversion services.
