Virginia to cut reciprocity with 25 states

Virginia Cuts Reciprocity With 25 States
http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/1 ... greements/

https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/vi ... story.html
The State Police superintendent accepted Herring’s recommendation to sever agreements with those states, effective Feb. 1, according to Herring’s office.

The states are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Georgia is one of the easiest states. I don't see it on that list. The comments say the same about other states.

One major factor will be if they honor non-resident permits from states such as Utah.

South Carolina does not. They also don't grant reciprocity with Georgia. That was a huge pain for folks that lived in Augusta.

Took the list from Handgun Law & removed all the states listed. These are the only ones left

Permits/Licenses Virginia Honors Listed Below
Michigan
Oklahoma
Texas
Utah
West Virginia

Virginia Honors Non-Resident Permits/Licenses From the States They Honor.

Virginia offers a non-resident permit.

Fuck them for making me have to apply for one.

Non-resident permit apps require proof of training. A training class from an "approved" State DOJ suffices. Not sure if Kentucky will be an "approved" source in January. If you are considering this option, and only have this training documented, I suggest you act quickly.

Request Virginia Nonresident Concealed Handgun Application Package

You may request an Application Package by contacting the Virginia State Police Firearms Transaction Center in writing at the below address or by e-mailing VSP at nonrespermit@vsp.virginia.gov. All written requests must include the applicant’s complete name and mailing address. A telephone number is also requested. Send written requests to:

Firearms Transaction Center
Nonresident Concealed Handgun Permits
Criminal Justice Information Services Division
Department of State Police
P.O. Box 85141
Richmond, VA 23285-5141

The Application Package will provide requirement and qualification information, a Virginia State Police fingerprint card, a return envelope for the completed application, and a checklist to ensure that all necessary information is provided.

A Utah non resident permit would be more advantageous than applying for Virginia. Then you are covered for Virginia, without spending money in Virginia. Also Utah is good for 31 states (I think) and cost $51, Virginia, not so many, and cost $100.

Great way to turn law abiding people into criminals and to raise your crime stats.
