Re: Need a new Jacket/coat
I am an old guy. I wear what I want to. Comfort beats fads. Just for the record, in the cold I wear Sig Tac green canvas. Looks like CarHarrt but has an inside velcro that can conceal an MP5. Otherwise an old black leather M-65 jacket. I keep a Columbia Clone coat in the car and truck from Sam's Club $35.00. Go with whatever works for you. Geno

Re: Need a new Jacket/coat
I've had a carhartt, redhead & cabelas canvas insulated jackets that all were designed the same & I think the cabelas was the best of all 3. Definitely as good as the more expensive carhartt & I thought it was warmer too.

Re: Need a new Jacket/coat
I don't frequent the shows or websites of what's new and available. I miss the days I didn't have to worry about what to wear, everybody else was wearing the same shit.Geno wrote:I am an old guy. Re: Need a new Jacket/coat
I'm getting the shivers on mornings like today. Sucks when you're up like your still on active duty still and not getting any of the benefits of it.
Re: Need a new Jacket/coat
if you can't afford multiple new coats, go to plato's closet and pick up a slightly used one. Have also seen them there with tags still for pretty cheap. Have it dry cleaned and you will never know the difference. Something for all occasions. I picked up some Diesel jeans brand new with tags on sale there the other day for $15 a piece (I could wear and are nice ones but gonna flip on ebay instead).

Re: Need a new Jacket/coat
So the the one I found is a really good deal then. I might have to go pick it up, hopefully it's still there.PDM wrote:$185 is the employee priceToecutter1978 wrote:5.11 3 in 1 parka for $125 a good deal

Plato's closet, I've been to the one on Outer Loop, some nice finds there. I'll stop and look again when I'm out that way.Dave1965 wrote:if you can't afford multiple new coats, go to plato's closet and pick up a slightly used one. Re: Need a new Jacket/coat
Cool. Charlie tells me the Louisville stores charge a decent amount more than Lexington so if you are ever over this way stop in. The shirt section looks like a damn Polo store. Saw some carhart stuff locally too.Toecutter1978 wrote:Plato's closet, I've been to the one on Outer Loop, some nice finds there.
