Safe locking mechanism
So would it be better to change a digital lock to a dial? They both have their pros and cons. I've been thinking of changing it over to a dial so not to have to rely on electronics that could go out.

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

On an existing safe? Don't know.Toecutter1978 wrote:Is it possible to have a locksmith install a key override then?
I was thinking new when I posted that.
Sure yours doesn't has a key override? many have a keyhole behind the electronics

The electric lock just has me worried I might not be able to get in it if something happens.

It happens, mine died a week after I bought it, had to use the key until they sent me a new board.Toecutter1978 wrote:The electric lock just has me worried I might not be able to get in it if something happens.

Re: Safe locking mechanism
Just called Klein bros. they said I can only have the electronic changed to a mechanical dial, key override has to come from the factory.
