Anybody working with Kydex want to try something new?
I'd like to have a Kydex iPhone holster made, I've been using a new case (the Lifeproof) and can supply it for forming purposes, but I'm curious to see how one of these comes out.

I work kydex but ill tell you that its hard to beat the cases they have out for the phone now and that the rubber texture and glass face of the phone would mak it hard to do without screwing the phone up from repeated use. You could make a snap in type but again, why?
Re: Anybody working with Kydex want to try something new?
What I want is a holster that will fit my case, think of like a mag carrier but for a phone. If it works out it may be worth it to the person making them to work some up for sale, I'm sure they'd sell like hot cakes. I've thought about biting the bullet and getting into it myself.

There is already a one like this being made for the magpul iPhone cases.
I'd have to do some searching but I saw them somewhere.

yup that's the one I had seen. Would be pretty easy to make.theduke282 wrote:Is this what you are looking for?

I'd have to make another press though. I've been using my 55 ton air/hydro press for guns and knives because of the detail I can get. No I'm not putting that much on it but it works better then doing it in the vise like I started with.
