Grilled Bacon 'n Eggs

Had a houseful of my son's buddies overnight, so had to feed the beasts. Too hot to cook out the kitchen, and bacon always smells up the whole house for a day or two. Since I'm trying to use the new grill as much as possible figured I'd do bacon and eggs outside.

Cooked pack of bacon on a cookie sheet and collected the grease in a cup. Set bacon in shallow enamel pan on side burner just to keep it warm and laid bread slices on bacon-greased cookie sheet with center of slice cut out for egg (used a shark cookie cutter for this cause its what the wife gave me). Crack egg into bread slice, and flip after couple minutes for over-easy style eggs cooked into the toast.

Used a dozen eggs, pound of bacon, most of a loaf of bread. Fed the troops and kitchen is still clean.

Didn't reinvent the wheel here, but it worked out well.

Bonus:grill shark cutouts of bread and give to 2 yr old so he can satisfy his blood lust and have a shark toast fight.

That's an old recipe called "Toad in the hole" or some variant. I think it originated in England. It's a very popular breakfast in the south.
