Looking for a cheap gun vise for bench rest shooting and sighting in optics. Not going to use for competition or anything like that.
Don't know if i should just buy some bags or gun vise. From what i see on ebay i can get either for around 50$ shipped.

What do you guys have/use/recommend?

I made my own bags out of an old pair of sweets, rice and zip ties. Works great

Mine are old shot bags sewed shut after filling with sand.

I am going to make a few leather bags with my sewing machine.

My wife makes sand bags from old blue jeans legs and i filled with playsand from lowes. I think more stable than some sight in rests.

Blue Jean legs zip tied on one end,fill with sand, then zip tie other end
