Leupold VX-R Patrol optic

Post by shelbygoat » Thu Nov 01, 2012 9:43 pm

http://www.gggaz.com/leupold-vx-r-1.25- ... scope.html

Searching through optics for a SCAR16s and this seems to be the one I keep coming back to. Not looking for long range optics, more short range within 200-300m and not a red dot. Budget is around $600.

Any input would be appriciated.

I like the Leupold better. Better eye relief, better reticle, better clarity I think, based on a couple things I read (never used either).

Glad to hear it! I've heard the program offers excellent pricing and service, but haven't taken advantage of it yet. I definitely will when I need optics.

Finally pulled the trigger on the VXR Patrol 1.5-4x model along with the Mark 2 30mm IMS to match up

maybe not the top end scope a SCAR might deserve, but will sit up there nicely and came in well below my inital budget estimate
