I’m looking for optics suggestions for my slr 107r AK in 762x39. I had the opportunity to try out a primary arms 1-6x24 primary arms scope on a guys AK at the range. I liked it a lot. Really sweet setup. Any other suggestions? I don’t have a lot of experience with glass. Thanks in advance.

Burris 1-4 can’t be beat for the price. Tough as nails. Good match for a AK

Definitely an option but boy are they pricey! I’d like some cheaper options. The primary arms model can be had for under $300 and that appealing to me.

BSA fixed 4x is great little scope on the cheap. Had one on a 10/22 Charger that my dog knocked off my trash can outside onto cement carport and it stayed perfect. Not sure how it holds up to recoil, but I bet BSA covers it if it doesn't.

Another very good option for the money. I know for sure they have very good customer service if you have issues.

Commie gun needs commie optics. Well not really but what the hey.
Click on rifle scopes and select POSP/PSO or POSP/PSO Zoom. For an AK make sure you select AK to make sure the mount matches. They even have commie red dots.

And by the way: Don't used a dust cover rail mount, they're for the most part garbage. Use side rail mounts. IMHO

I know the guy who was at the range.....he is a douche! :llama:

If you go with a scope, I would get a variable so you have the ability for close work as well as longer range. I find the Arsenals to be pretty accurate. The PA scope was made for the AK unlike the Vortex that is really made for AR. Both have lifetime warranties. Definitely wouldn't go with a fixed. You also need to factor in the scope mount and the side mount. I believe the side mount is the only option to get the optic back where you need it (unless you get a Scout type optic and mount it forward). You will have to remove the side mount to disassemble your rifle. The Midwest side mount is supposed to return to zero. I will let you know how that works out.

It was nice to meet you....even though I didn't know who you were until now. :)

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: This forum needs a “like” button.

Nice to meet you as well sir!

I went ahead and ordered the same mount that you have on the side folder. I should get it sometime next week. Just need some glass and rings. What rings are you using?

Aero precision lightweight. It is one piece, not rings
