Options for 7.5 300aac

So I have a 7.5 300aac flat top upper with railed gas block. Thinking of flip up sights and maybe a scope or red dot. Think a PA red dot or 1x4 scope.
I'm I crazy for thinking about putting a scope on that short of a barrel?
I have about 200 bucks to work with so that rules out high end glass.
What are the thoughts for a scope on sbr's ?

I have the Bushnell AR 1-4, I think that would be a good option too...

I have a PA 1-4 your welcome to try if you like. I don't have it mounted on anything right now. Not looking to sell it, but your more than welcome to try it.
