The Micro T-2 will be available for shipment in September, 2014, and will be offered alongside the company’s existing Micro T-1 product.
The updates include:
a new sight housing which allows the addition of front and rear protective flip covers and anti-reflective devices
additional physical protection for the sight’s adjustment turrets
increased ruggedness for the sight’s internal electronic components
A newly designed front lens with a new reflective coating that improves clarity
The Micro T-2 will be compatible with all existing mounts that fit the Micro T-1. This sight is compatible with all generations of night vision devices. The Micro T-2 can operate for up to five years of constant-on use, using a CR-2032 battery, and is waterproof to 25 meters.

Possibly, but I wouldn't hope too hard on that. The addition of the 2MOA T-1 was 'supposed' to drop prices on the 4MOA model, but we never saw that. This is technically a successor to the T-1 though, so prices may drop a little. You'll probably be able to score a few deals on the secondary market if you're lucky enough.

Re: Aimpoint to Launch Micro T-2
Great additions to an already great scope. Good for them!
Aimpoint Micros have actually gone UP in value on the secondary market over the last few years. I remember buying them for $400-$500 used all the time(Some with good mounts) and now you are lucky to find them for a few hundred more.
I'll eventually probably own one of these new ones. Awesome scopes!

Re: Aimpoint to Launch Micro T-2
Remember the $300ish Micro R-1's when they got discontinued? I should have jumped on one.
Mike, the article has an email address that can offer discounted Aimpoints to LEO/Mil, if you're interested.
