Thoughts on Burris Scopes

Post by kygator13 » Thu Apr 24, 2014 11:27 pm

After taking my rifle out for the first few times, I now realize that I'm going to need some good optics. I am looking at the Burris skulltec scope from Cabelas. I've been saving up Cabelas gift cards for some time. The scope runs for $630 with a $50 rebate. Any thoughts on this brand or model?

For the price , I would look at vortex viper pst, and my tastes now would say 2.5 to 10 power with surefire rapid transition sights.

The skulltec looks to be just the regular MTAC 1-4x with a camo finish.

The MTAC can be picked up for $320ish bare.

The one he links to comes with the mount with a reflex sight on top. Midway has the same setup for $600 in black.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Good glass. Love my MTAC. Glad I listed to everyone (almost) here and picked one up.
