Pistol Light

Going to buy a new pistol light for the Glock19L. Looking at TLR1s, Tlr1 HL and the Inforce APL. whatever I buy I am going to have Bama make a holster for. I know APL is lighter and thinner. Is the decrease in lumens worth the size savings? Cost is about the same so I take that out of the equation.
My factors
Enough light for HD or CCDW
Durable (holster draws, drops, heat, and rounds fired while attached)
So what do y'all think?

Less lumens is better unless you're outside. Get up in the middle of the night, fire up that 400 lumen light saber, and you will see (or not) exactly what I'm talking about.
That new mini surefire is my current favorite

Yep, illuminate a wall with high power lumens. Now you are blind.
I have a Tlr1s mounted on my HD pistol . I would say it's fine if none of your wall are a really light color that would reflect the light too much.

My old tlr1s was okay in my house. Just didn't know if 200 was too low. My new handheld is 220 I will shine it tonight some i recon to see. Just got it and have not even opened it.

Hard to say what will work because lumens is total light output and not all are measured the same way. The cheaper the light, the more inflated the number. My single cell elzetta is way too bright at 300 for that bump in the night. 100 to the face is plenty to blind someone and over 200 is no bueno for someone like me who can almost see in the dark anyway.

I carry a tlr1 on my duty Glock. Great light and gets used regularly.

Tlr1 for me. Mainly used outside and does excellent lighting up the property for a couple hundred feet. Inside, all depends on your layout honestly.

I like the APL. Run one on my XDM. The G17 has an XC1 on it and it's pretty sweet.

All the above lights are g2g... TLR1s probably one of the best bang for the buck lights out there. I really like my APL, it's one of my favorite pistol lights. The Surefire line is always a solid option, I haven't been able to play with XC1 a whole lot, but I plan to pick one up myself.

Since you have expieroemce with both, which would be more lefty friendly

APL is easiest with either hand IMO.

FWIW considering the age of the thread...
I don't believe in "too bright", at least given what's currently available. I've used up to 900 lumen lights and my current WML is a 600 lumen. More light more better.
