Tactical kilt

Post by iron369 » Sat Mar 05, 2016 2:22 pm

This may be old news to some of you, but I thought I'd share for any uninformed firearms enthusiasts of Scottish heritage.

I haven't worn a kilt since my oldest son got married 13 years ago.

New guy up at 111 was wearing a kilt at work. Not saying anything wrong with that just something you don't normally see now-a-days.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Tactical summer dress has no draw for myself, seems like poor coverage no matter what cultural heritage you want to represent. This amounts to tactical designer fashion, walking the cat walk at the gun range.

To the ancient Greeks and Romans our wearing of trousers would be odd. Trousers (pants) were considered barbarous garments worn by the "barbaric" Germans and Persians.

I don't like wearing shorts that hang below my knees. If I could find a pair that had cargo pockets and came above the knee, I'd buy every color they had. Well, it matters on what they are made out of also. A CORDURA, yep.

You have some how managed to reference the only acceptable time to wear a kilt.

I think of a kilt like a suit of armor, or a cape, or a phantom of the opera mask, there aint but a few locations in both time and space that they are acceptable forms of dress.

Freaking Marilyn Manson latch key kids , with their reble black lipstick and marginally transgender outfits. Tactical black eyeshadow! Sure the latest generation wants to grow beards and sport some jeggings but i know a fruit when i see it.

I have a closet shelf piled high with shorts like this. They're all I wear in summer.

Either you're not looking...or you have very short legs.

Wait a minute. I thought beards were a sign of manliness.

You mean they're not?

To each there own, I wear long pants pretty much year around... I'm not normally the shorts and flip flop type, unless I'm on the water. As for the kilt as tactical wear, it's just one more item in the long line of tactical BS used to make a quick buck of the slow minded and dim witted.

Long pants all year and flip flops all year.

To each their own, I guess.

There was a time when a 1000 worriers in kilts would strike fear in the hearts of men, today it would just get a snicker and photo bomb opportunity. ( insert the bagpipes! )
Oh, how so high they fly........ only further to fall.
