Gunvault customer service

Post by kymarkh » Mon Jun 16, 2014 8:38 pm

Recently my Gunvault Deluxe started making a 'whirring noise' instead of opening like it used to. I've had this particular Gunvault for over 9 years and it has been used, at a minimum, 2 times per day during this time and I know it was way out of the warranty period. I used it with the supplied key for over a month before I finally contacted Gunvault customer service by phone. They immediately issued me an RMA number and had a replacement to my door within 2 weeks, along with a UPS label to return the original unit. The new unit takes a single 9 volt battery instead of the 8 AA batteries used by the old unit. I am extremely impressed by this level of customer service and thought that I would pass along my experience. Big time kudos to Gunvault for replacing a 9 year old safe on their own dime. Would definitely recommend these safes for those who are concerned with keeping your carry piece safe from your children.

I thought it was a long shot when I called them but was pleasantly surprised.

I have 3 GunVault safes, two for the vehicles and one I've had for nearly 20 years under my bed.

After reading this thread I called them on Thursday of last week to tell them how mine was doing the same thing.
Not all the time, but most of the time it would start whirling and not open. They took my info and my new safe arrived today.
They know how to treat their customers, that is for sure.

My safe was older as well.
