Is airsoft or "mil-sim", a viable training option?
Wondering what people thought about it. Since training with firearms are very costly at this time, would it be a option to train with airsoft rifles? I have watched some videos on the youtube were people were out at the MOUNT site at FT Knox and it seems there were many players out there running different scenarios.

Oh I know man lol, but a lot of people do not have access to the kind of things that we do. I think it is kinda funny to watch people run around doing it.DDgunslinger wrote:Some training is better than no training... adapt and overcome lol

I read the article, I should have made the thread saying if anyone plays milsim or paintball haha. I would not value this as training, but more so of just going out and having fun.ChopperDoc wrote:Read this article and the decide if it is training that you would value

I've never messed with airsoft, but I learned what cover really was after spending some time at a MOUT site with simunitions.

HELL YES IT IS! I think handguns should come with a Airsoft trainer pistol. Mil-Sims would require a devotion to the training end of things and now the game end of things, but it can be a big avenue to utilize. It wont do everything, but it will do allot!
