I can see the need for something like it. If you don't have a light on your gun. If its less then $10 I might use it at the night match at knob creek and see how it goes. If more than $10 its back to tactical duct tape.

I see a big design flaw in the $18.99 model...it has a built in pocket clip that is on the exact opposite side of the finger loop....so that would be digging the loop into you while it rides in your pocket
