mag pouch for Pmags

Post by kyswede » Wed Sep 11, 2013 5:14 pm

I have a couple of AR bandolier 6 mag pouches. Surplus mags will barely allow flap to snap. Pmags are about 3/8" longer and won't fit. What other mag pouches are available that will work with Pmags?

Any of the quick release AR pouches that I have gotten from Rothco have worked with my pmags

Thanks I will check them out. I like a bandolier since I don't have any vest-type gear yet.

I use Tactical Tailor 3 Mag panels, that I can stack. It runs a bungee retention system, pmags work just fine. Another option would be HSGI Taco pouches, but those aren't cheap.

I have several of the Galati Gear pouches for AR and for AK magazines. They work great, are reasonably priced, and are made of tough Cordura nylon. The pockets in the AR pouches are cut generously enough to accomodate two mags at a time (even PMags).

I just ordered 2 of the Galati Gear 30-40 round 6 mag pouches. I will update this when I get them next week.

Nope but they are pure awesome. I can use AK mags, AR Mags and even my SCAR mags all in the same Taco pouch.

Pouches came today. Only had 5 Pmags close by so I added a surplus mag. Two Pmags fit in each pocket, so a 6 pocket pouch holds 12 30round mags. I like the padded shoulder strap too.
Sweet.

I'm glad you like them. I have been using these for quite some time, and have found nothing else that works as well, especially at this price point. If you don't have a full Molle gear set up chest rig, these are a reasonable alternative, IMO.

Thanks for the link Wyldman
These are exactly what I wanted. The ability to hold 2 mags per pocket is a big bonus.

I actually really like the idea of that product for certain applications. It could make a great immediate access quick-to-grab magazine carrier for patrol officers. Keep us up to date on how it performs.
