PAC-LITE feeding issues

So I picked up a used pac-lite upper for my 22/45 and shot it for the first time today. It had a lot of failures to feed. All were rounds going nose up into the top edge of the chamber. Never had that many issues with the original upper, so I pulled it apart for comparison when I got home. For starters, the pac-lite fits much looser to the frame, but once it's all together there's not much wiggle. The bottoms of the feed ramps are different, but looking at it with a mag inserted the bottom of the feed ramp never comes into play.
The feed ramp to chamber opening however is a different story. The factory is fairly smooth with just the slightest hint of a lip. The pac-lite on the other hand has a very pronounced lip at the top of the feed ramp. Pics below for reference. Just sticking the nose of a bullet in through the ejection port and sliding the rip up the ramp I can tell a difference. The factory one has nearly no resistance between the ramp and into the chamber. The pac-lite has enough of a lip to stop the bullet tip.
Thinking about taking the dremmel and just hitting that lip with a stone bit to smooth it out a bit like an M4 receiver extension. Not taking much off, just getting rid of the sharp edge. Thoughts?
