My dad hooked my son up with a Henry lever action 22 magnum, a combined Christmas/birthday gift. He's been wanting a lever action and he loves his new gun. It is nice to see him with a brand new totally American made rifle in his hand that is all his versus the legacy rifles that have been passed down from his great granddad. Granddad didn't exactly spend good money on nice guns but we're still proud to have them.
We haven't quite sighted it in yet, just a little paper shooting.
We had some drastically different results from the two different kinds of ammo we purchased.
The CCI Maxi Mag HP+V jacketed hollow point cycled flawlessly and never failed us.
The Winchester 22 Magnum hollow points in a 40 grain litelly failed to fire every other round and even Jammed the action once. The rounds even sounded different from one round to the other.
Is all Winchester ammo just trash?
I honestly don't know but I've had similar results with Winchester ammo for my 22LR's.

Winchester white box .40 is the only ammo that ever jammed in my G27...and it did it fairly often
