10/22 help

Post by Niceguy » Thu May 17, 2012 1:42 pm

I have a 30+ year old 10/22 with hundreds of thousands of rounds threw it probably and looking to bring a little bit of new life and youthfulness to it so to speak... Thinking about a barrel and maybe getting a little trigger work. Not looking to shoot any match grade ammo or anything just looking to get a little more accuracy out of it with mid grade bulk ammo (blazers, ect.). I have no misfire issues or anything, just looking to breath a little life back into it... I'm looking for opinions and advice on what mod's and parts are the best bang for my buck. Thanks ahead for any advice...

Thanks, that sounds like what I'm looking to do and spend on this one. I would eventually like to build a really cool looking, great shooting one down the road but want to tinker with this one a little now. A few hundred buck nail driver sounds great. I don't really care about the size, looks or weight of this one, just want it to shoot good so the 20" Adams sounds great. Thanks for the advice.

Get a bull barrel and a hogue stock. I reviewed some barrels below:

Get a hogue overmold .920 stock. Look at putting between 150-300 in it and it will drive tacks.
If you hone too much I know a guy who can help you out
