CZ455 question

Post by CCRBUM » Thu Jun 11, 2015 7:58 pm

My wife is blessing me (as a result of copious about of overtime for the month of June) and allowing me to get a new 22lr rifle for my fathers day/ birthday present. I'm 100% sold on getting a CZ 455 but now sure which model I s gonna be best.. I love the look of the Lux but other than the fancy stock and iron sights is it that much better than the american or the military trainer? from what I'v read it seems like CZ accuracy is gonna be CZ accuracy in any of them.. anyone on here have personal experience with them?

Trainer is cheaper but if she can afford the extra cost of the Lux I would go with that. The Lux's sights are definitely better than the ones on the trainer from the one I've seen in the store.
The American has no iron sights and has a different cut of stock from the lux and Ultra Lux.
Mine is the Ultra Lux which is unbelievably accurate with iron sights with it's extra long sight radius http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-455-ultra-lux-22-lr/
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

FWIW, if you want to put your hands on some, Whittaker's usually has a pretty good selection of CZs at good prices.

Whittaker's like Frailer said is a good place to get up and personal with several models. I like the full stocks myself.

I have shot a few CZ 22lr. All have been great shooters. Usually the trigger needs a bit of work (look up YoDave's springs and bushings) easy remedies for the trigger slop. Best of luck and have fun with it.

PS. I own a trainer (452) and an American in 22 lr and 22 mag, for what it's worth.
