Anyone else on the board shoot 22 Long Range
I was brought into shooting long range 250-400 Yards lately with 22LR. Some people are for it and some aren't. I think it is great fun and cheap to do. Nothing like adjusting the scope for some major come up's. I built a Savage TR that I find shoots pretty darn good. I will get some pics up of the gun soon. Was just wondering if anyone else shares the same love for 22LR's

The "Wolf" match grade is also gaining great reviews. Ordered some to try. It is usually $5 per 50.etownguy wrote:what kind of ammo do you use for the further out shots??

This is a good target to shoot with a group at 100-150 yards and see who can get the red out LOL.

When it is 200 yards out and you can't really make out what it is because you are limited to adjusting power of scope (Range Masters Prank). When you walk up on it.. I got a laugh out of it.

I shoot a ton of 22......I was curious about your personal set-up, ammo, shot groups etc...
Typically I shoot 50yds or less.....occasional 100/125 yds with my 22 rifles......would like to know what it takes to shoot a 22 and hit targets consistently at 400 yds.....sounds fun to me!

I started at 150 and have worked my way up. Most the money will be spent in optics and a nice bolt action rifle. I have yet to see a semi shootling long distance.

Is this a private range? I like the .22 at extreem ranges because it requires more attention to scope settings and is good practice when you can't find 1000 yards for a 308

Re: Anyone else on the board shoot 22 Long Range
going to bring this back up from the depths since I have been playing at long ranges with 22lr since this thread
This was my old setup 18" bull barrel watch closely at the branches above the target and you can see the bullet flying and see the kind of arch it has.

two weeks ago we had a 10" frying pan hanging from a tree a little over 200 yards away and I was easily hitting it with every shot using CCi mini mags.

Used that Wolf stuff for the first time in my 10/22 for an Appleseed. Great ammo. Works well in the pistols too (Sig, 1911 Conversion Kit and Bersa).
