Hello! new member here. bought my first firearm this year for my birthday, Mossberg 535 in mossy oak duck blind. smoked a hen turkey and suzie mallard so far.
anyone ever have their inner mag coil bunch up? spring pressure was low on the insert in the bottom so we took apart and the spring looked like a balled up mess. no idea if it came from factory like this, can't imagine how it could have done that in action.

That happens when the magizine is over compressed by trying to cram in more shells than the tube is designed to hold.cknbklyn wrote:

To do that the plug must be removed.
Not a normal factory issue, somebody in the shop did that or if bought used the previous owner(s) did.

And I would get a new spring
A over compressed spring is mashed beyond the set so it now is weakened and will fail at some point.
