What is this part

Post by Toecutter1978 » Sat Apr 19, 2014 10:50 pm

So after visiting TG&G with the misses middle son, we started cleaning. Well as he was taking the Remington 870 tac apart the bolt went flying out when he was removing the forearm. This made a sound on the floor. I can not figure out where it went. I need some help. The extractor still has it's spring and plunger behind the extractor arm.

I am thinking it was in the Blackhawk stock I installed. It had a rattle but not now. I'm figuring it finally came out. The shoty passes the function test. If it is that part, would it not operate? The dummy round cycles.
