and it's a Ruger Super Redhawk chambered in 45 colt and 454 casull.

Any tips on shooting this hand cannon. I've never had a revolver or a big bore pistol like this. I'm a wee bit intimidated.

Make sure you grip it up as high on the grip as you can. Take a firm hold, not a death-grip, it won't bite you, it's just like any other handgun. As you may have noticed, that's a big heavy hunk of steel, it will help absorb and control the recoil.

If you are intimidated by it, start with lighter loads (Cowboy Action loads are usually pretty mild) and work up to the big bruisers. You'll get used to it along the way.

Don't put your fingers around the cylinder when you pull the trigger:).

It's not here yet but it's coming to stay with a couple Ruger M77 rifles next week.

I pretty darn excited. It's even showing up with some shells and a set of reloading dies for it and the rifles.

I have so many expensive calibers now that I'm either going to have to start reloading or sell something...guess I'm shopping for reloading equipment now.
