Lapel Pins / grip medallions

Post by ChopperDoc » Thu Oct 18, 2012 11:17 am

I am having some grips made for a 1911. Was going to have Colt medallions inset, but I think I may want something different. Colt medallions are easy to find on eBay, but I am having trouble finding ideas or parts for other stuff.

Thought about a Molon Labe medallion. Have seen some sold on custom grips, but can't find just the medallions to order.

Would appreciate some other idea, stuff that I am not thinking of.

No zombie stuff please.

Grips will look like this:

You're military, right? How about some kind of pin to signify that? Don't know anything about the military though, so can't really recommend which.

You could keep it simple with something like this:

Thought about something like that. You can get the small lapel pins with about any unit insignia.

I can choose any checkering pattern I want and get the emblems inset. Still thinking smooth and a Colt pin is what I am liking the best.
