Remington Kills Para USA Brand

Post by WLJ » Tue Feb 10, 2015 8:18 am

It seems the branding death march continues at Freedom Group, as more and more of the smaller brands under the Remington umbrella are killed off and merged with Big Green proper. The latest casualty is Para USA, a 1911 handgun manufacturer known for competition handguns and good quality products. In a press release this morning, Remington announced that Para USA will no longer exist as a separate brand, and their products will be sold under the amalgamated Remington branding instead. Make the jump for the presser .
BREAKING: Remington Kills Para USA Brand

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Remington is a failing entity. Para USA are the great minds behind the renowned R51, Remington was the brilliant company that brought it to market. Remington has not brought a decent firearm to market in a very long time, they survive on brand loyalty alone. IMO its the result of a top heavy company that focuses more on profit and the bottom line rather then producing quality firearms.

Hardly. With the stain of Remington on it, you probably won't be able to give it away. I'll do you a big favor and take it off your hands for proper disposal.

So I guess whatever is sitting in stores now will either get marked up or decrease. I bet they will go up.

I have a 870 and a older (60's-70's) 700 in 22-250. I really like both of them.

Have 700 and 597. Had 870. I liked all of them. Never a problem with any of them. All manufactured within the last 8 yrs or so.

I agree Remington is failing. Living off old (still good IMo) designs. The name of the game today is innovation and wow factor.
