yeah i know a .40 cal 1911 is against all laws of nature but i wanted somethin different and when i ordered it from para they were offering it in 9mm, .40 and.45. i asked which they were getting the most orders for and they said 9mm and 45. so since already owning a .40 and loving the performance of the cartridge i chose to go with .40. its such a nice pistol and has such sentimental value being a commemorative pistol made by para for my task force during oif i havent even burnt a single round through it. its gonna be one of those hand me downs for future generations.

My BIL came out last Friday to shoot his new Rossi 38 Special snubbie. I got my 1911 out for him to try. He says" This is what all the fuss was about?" I said "Yes, this is what our soldiers used for almost 75 years." He has had a Beretta 92 for about 15 years, but never shot a 45. After shooting a mag thru it he says "I thought I was finished buying guns, but I'm going to have to get one of these". Made my day.

You Sir, are a good shepherd. I've convinced two friends and my dad to give the 1911 a try, none have looked back. One didn't even have to fire it to be turned.
