Really? I looked all over the net and keep seeing them for 800-1000. That would be a pretty resonable price. I have a para 1911 already. I have two chip mccormick 10 rounders. I like the 1911 as it is, but when it comes to semi autos, i like the highest ammo capacity possible. Maybe im just ocd. Pretty soon im going to sell the 1911 i have and look into getting a high cap model. Maybe someone with some experience in 1911s can tell me why that is or isnt a good idea?
I don't personally have any experience with the high cap 1911 models. I've heard it in the shop a few times and it just feels to bulky for my taste. As far as how well they cycle and run, I don't have a clue. It certainly looks odd. I wish I knew the model of it to look it up. The one at the shop has been duracoated or something as well. Not sure what the deal is with it.

I had one of the Para 14's I think it was in .40 cal and double stack 1911. Worked well, probably the best .40 I have owned.
I hear people make them into competition guns

that would be ideal for me. The .40 is my favorite round. Though i am planning to experiment with a 9mm. Plus the p16 holds 16 shots. 18 with the extended base plate.

I really want a glock 17 for some reason. And theres that arrendondo +6 extended base plate for it that only sticks out as much as a +2. 23 + 1 in the hole is like a high cap dream.

A us made para ordnance expert model with night sights and shitty "pearl" grips. I was thinking of switching the grips out, but now that im considering selling it, i dont want to invest anymore into it until i decide.

The double stack 1911's I've handled aren't really much wider than a single stack, although the front strap is wider to accommodate the different mag. Typically the grips are much thinner, and the result is a grip that is virtually the same width. They FEEL much wider because of the different front strap.

I also have some 8 rounders I use, I was just funnin'. Personal preference, I like single stacks more.
