Honestly you can't go wrong with XD, Glock or M&P.
To each their own but to discredit any of the three is foolish and fanboyish.

Re: Used Glock prices?
I agree with this. I just like stirring the pot on this debate. I've shot all and all have great reputations for the most part. Those are the 3 brands I suggest to anybody looking for a good handgun in the 4-600 range. Then I say go with what feels most comfortable to them.325MOUTguru wrote:Honestly you can't go wrong with XD, Glock or M&P.

Re: Used Glock prices?
Sure, dbh, but all of those 'vs' scenarios have clear winners.... PCs, Nikons, and Glocks.

Re: Used Glock prices?
Wow I post before I head out to work and I come home to 3 pages of mostly Glock bashing. First I could care less what most of you pay for your guns other than it inflates the price on what other guns sell for. I was happy I found my price point and paid what I wanted. Now to the Glock bashing and or hijacking my thread. I have yet to hear of any 100,000 round tests on an XD. Glock 17,s have had 3 seperate 100,000 round tests done and one by a very well known trainer and gun writer. A 20,000 round test is all I could find done with an XD9. If a Glock breaks a part you call glock and they will send the part ASAP if an XD breaks a part you have to box them up and send the gun back to SA for repairs. I have shot the XD and can shoot them well if I put my mind to it. With the Glock I do not have to put my mind to it I point it where I want it to hit and when I press the trigger it hits where I pointed. Simplicity, Reliability, Ease of maintainence, and the most ample aftermarket for parts and accessories around give the Glock the edge over the XD in my book every time. Now to the Sigs, If Gaston Glock had flopped I would be shooting a Sig 226 but he didn't and Im not.

Gundoc, I don't think there has been much Glock bashing at all. The thread has certainly been lead slightly astray, but it's all been in good fun.

Re: Used Glock prices?
Yeah. No offense intended. Like I said its all personal preference. Tho the thread was hijacked just a tad.
Re: Used Glock prices?
I will never likely shoot 10 or 20k rounds from a pistol. It will likely never see 2k rounds fired.
If I have to send it back, its not like the only one I ever own. Those aren't real problems to me. Liking the gun enough when I shoot it is a huge factor.

Re: Used Glock prices?
Have had both but prefer my glock. I dont care for the grip safety on xd. Also it seems like people want less for the 17 than the 19 for whatever reason.

19's are more popular and what is the dislike with the grip safety? It takes like an ounce to push in with your normal grip so is it just the idea of another safety that bothers you?cRiMe-sCeNe wrote:Have had both but prefer my glock. I dislike the grip safety because of my soft hands.jackalo626 wrote:19's are more popular and what is the dislike with the grip safety?
