CZ P10 Striker Fired Handgun

So the few guns we've seen pop up ARE production run guns, just the same as the ones you and I will be purchasing, but they're all Test and Evaluation guns (I believe law enforcement T&E guns, specifically) sent straight from CZ. Still no "real" first commercial run guns, but the fact that we're seeing real production guns is at least promising in two ways. First, they actually exist, are being manufactured, being imported, and being shipped. Second, the things people loved about the pre-production models are still shining through in the production guns.

I'm excited to see the results of people putting a few thousand rounds through them.

The Phuc Long guy is an FFL in Texas, and now has this black P10C. If it's also a T&E gun, it's interesting I think we've only seen T&E guns in Texas.

P10C's will officially be hitting shelves for normal people to buy very soon. I know of one shop that has tracking info for their first shipment and should be receiving them on Monday. These are normal retail shipments, not T&E, not LE/Mil orders, not media guns.

CZ rep by the name of Rich said today that "thousand and thousands" of P10s have been backordered, and whichever distributors/dealers placed their orders first will get their orders first. No comment on who/which companies did order first. Says they should ship in about ten days.

Obviously I was wrong about the shop getting their P10C order 2.5 weeks ago.... they THOUGHT they were getting their P10s, but it was their normal CZ shipment minus P10s.

Same rep, says KY Gun Co placed a large initial order, and early. They'll be a good place to contact if you want to grab a black or maybe FDE P10 from the first shipment. Black suppressor ready still to come in second shipment. Black LE models have been mentioned, to come with three mags and night sights.

CZ-USA just went public with this:

Yesterday we received word that our parent company, CZUB, has experienced further delays in the production of the P-10 C. Since SHOT Show, our ETA on the first shipment has been bumped back every few days. Discussions with the factory revealed that the realistic date for first delivery is in late April. We apologize for the delay, we truly expected to begin delivery in January.

Now let me preface this by saying I haven't shot a ton pistols, never handled a CZ before this one, and I'm far from operator status or an awesome shooter. But.....

This thing is everything they said it was and a bag of chips. From my experience it is the flattest shooting pistol I have dealt with. The trigger is perfect in my opinion out of the box. The reset is short, crisp, and easily noticeable. The grip texture is a bit aggressive but can be dealt with and become use to over time. I am pulling whatever strings I can to get one as soon as they are available.
The CZ rep told me KYGunCo has already sold the initial 1500 they were allotted and will only get 300/month after that.

Let me finish this by talking holsters. I had with my my g19 in the new Maverick 2.0 formed with a CNC mold. I was talking to the rep saying I'd start carrying it instead of my 19 in which he mentioned that CZ intentionally designed the P10C to fit G19/23 holsters. I played it off acting surprised and without asking pulled out my holster and tried to put the p10c in it. It's a no go. Will not enter past the takedown pins. And by not enter I mean it's like a brick wall is holding it back. The rep was shocked and couldn't believe it. His exact words "well they lied to me" haha.
My understanding is they were designed to fit duty holsters. I think I will find out once I have the gun, is that it might fit sloppier made holsters.

All in all, I believe this will be great competition for Glock and the 19/23. The only +1 I see Glock having is the price of mags. Other than that, the P10C wins it for me.

For LE, Mil, and First Responders mag price alone is not a valid argument. They're still more expensive, but not prohibitively so.

Just now saw this thread. I've had mine on order from the LE side of CZ (I dealt with Andrew as well) since around the first of January. He told me they should start shipping at the end of February but I haven't heard a peep since then. I hadn't heard about the recent delays. I have a class next weekend and I was hoping I would have it in before then. Guess not.

Oh, and he expects the Bren 2 in 2018.

The frame honestly looks the same to me, but obviously the slide is longer. I wonder if they plan to release a long slide compact frame version, or just haven't gotten to molding new frames yet. It's a long way out, so plenty can change.

Personally I don't care much about a full size version, but it'll be good for them if they want Mil/LE contracts around the world.

This really interest me from the competition standpoint. If it feels as good as a P07 and P09 in the hands, has a great out of the box striker fired trigger, and is as accurate as all of the reviewers are saying about the compact version. Not so much to carry.

P10C magazines are available for purchase from Greg Cote. These are the magazines that are currently shipping with new CZ P-07 pistols, so if you have a P-07 and want a P10C.... stock up. Note the price is considerably less than older P-07 magazines and lower than the $35 MSRP.
