New pistol FK Brno 7.5mm Incredible ballistics!

Post by Geno » Sat Jun 18, 2016 12:04 am

I just finished reading an article about an interesting pistol and cartridge. Pistol is 1911 ish, 6 inch barrel and slide. 14 +1 capacity. "Butterfly" style rear sight and dot front sight. 90 to 100 grain projectile at 1900 to 2000 fps! Sights calibrated for near 4 MOA at 100 meters. That yields roughly 850 fpe. That's in the 44 mag neighborhood. No idea of price or even if it will be available here in the USA. Enjoyed reading about this "Field Pistol". Kind of a 5.7 on steroids!?

What the 5.7 wants to be when it grows up

The 5.7 is very effective as long as it is used in a small compact full auto PDW (ie the P90) due to the fact it enables multiple rounds to impact a very small area due to being completely controllable in full auto . When used in a semi autos such as the PS90 and the FNH 5.7 it loses much of it's punch.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

I contend the PS90 would be a good mass shooting weapon for its 50 rd mag, ability to conceal easier, and carry lots of ammunition for. Not that I think of those things but it hit me about it the other day. especially if shorter barrel is installed and used in close confined space

Earlier today I received an email from the executive manager of FK BRNO. Mr. Slabke informed me that the ATF had just approved the immediate importation of their 7.5 Field Pistol into the USA. We should see these pistols on store shelves when enough arrive at the distributor.

Nice, but I have a bad taste in my mouth with necked down pistol cartridges. The only one I ever encountered that worked well was my Tokarev in 7.62x25.

My Glock 31 (.357Sig) worked perfect. Should have kept that...
