The L85. A lesson in how NOT to develop an infantry rifle

What do you get when you hand over development of your new and upcoming infantry rifle to a group of engineers of whom not one had ever even fired a rifle before and then add totally inept politicians to the mix? Well, the L85 of course. A rifle that actually got progressively worst, not better, in development.
