Conversion yes, it is kit installed on a base AK-47Phil_Osophy wrote:is that ome of those convertbles?WLJ wrote:Now this is ugly1fastmach1 wrote:That is one ugly piece.
Most were sold with the kit already installed, how I bought mine, but the kit could be ordered separately. I recall reading on the bullpup forum the kit is not currently being made. Only real issue is the choice of linkage they made for the trigger, think coat hanger wire, it flexes far too much giving it a crappy trigger, although while shooting it's not as noticeable as while dry firing it. There's some fixes for it on the internet but it's been a low priority for me on the to do list.
They also did AK-74s but they were done a bit different from the AK-47 ones in that they didn't have iron sights and had a rail installed instead, looked a lot better IMHO. Tried to get ahold of one them but haven't had any luck yet, though they have popped up on gunbroker from time to time.
BTW: Bullpups designed from the ground up as bullpups are usually vastly superior to conversions like the above, so don't judge bullpups by a conversion.

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Bullpups are the discriminated against minority around here. Where's Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton when you need them?

Of course with many bullpups as ugly as they are with me it's a matching set.

Just got through the latest issue of RECOIL magazine this month ... and Guess what they are reviewing ... Along with the IWI Tavor RATWORX Bullpup?
It's an RDB 5.56 ... And they were fairly impressed with it ...
Actually, they both look pretty nice ... I can see why WLJ shows a little favoritism toward those short guys ....

Re: More Kel-Tec Unicorns on the way
Site has a look into the internals and it would appear, to me at least, they started out with an RFB and went from there. One major different though is that the RFB ejects forward just like on the F/FS2000, while the RDB ejects down and to the rear, which is closer to what a P/PS90 does although the 90 ejects straight down which is made possible by the fact the mag is above the chamber area on the 90adayton wrote:Just got through the latest issue of RECOIL magazine this month ... and Guess what they are reviewing ... Re: More Kel-Tec Unicorns on the way
The biggest drawback to the PS90 is the issue of height over bore. I've watched videos where they would sight it in at one distance, then at a different distance they were barely even on paper
