Since we got into the discussion of the MP5/Clones yesterday and the Korean mags that don't fit the magwell of the MP5, I decided to take some time and look these over compared to the HK mags. Overall the appearance of both look identical, its the minute little things that I noticed on the Korean mags that stood out. The locking notches on the sides of the Koreans are not deep enough to catch the mag well lock and the center locking piece is too large.
So in my free time I decided to break out the Dremel and make these things fit! Worse that could happen is I take out too much metal and Im out a total of $24 for both, but if I could make them work, that's better then the $70+ for a new mag each.

So at least I have 2 more mags now that I thought were going to be trashed.
Hopefully within 6 more weeks I will be able to go out and give these mags a try and see how well they feed.

I wish I would of bought a few kits back then. I think the prices were around $150 for a demilled kit, which were still high in the late 80's, but compared to $1,500+ now.

Seems the owner thought it was messed up and had a Hoosier gun "smith" fix it.
Being younger then I bought a new bolt. Then I fixed the old bolt by welding a steel plate to the bottom
Where it had been ground on.
The owner was not happy that I would not give him the new bolt after the old one was fixed.
It came back to me again. Guy said it would fire once after loading and then nothing.
I changed the bolt and made the first video with then my new 8mm camcorder.
I sent that to the owner, I do believe I emailed it over dial up.
Took a good long time to upload and send.
The carbine fired/functioned as designed.
Anyway he was happy but not when he got the bill for filming and staging.
Ha SOB thought I was stupid.
He got the new and old bolts and I got my money back for a bolt that I did not need too buy.
