The L85. A lesson in how NOT to develop an infantry rifle

Post by WLJ » Fri May 26, 2017 11:32 am

What do you get when you hand over development of your new and upcoming infantry rifle to a group of engineers of whom not one had ever even fired a rifle before and then add totally inept politicians to the mix? Well, the L85 of course. A rifle that actually got progressively worst, not better, in development.

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Many people may not know that HK was a British owned company at the time.
