History of the SA-80

I've heard rumors that the British are looking to ditch this rifle once and for all. Found this piece from 2002 while investigating.

The L85 (SA80) rifle was handed over to HK and they were asked if they could fix this. They did and come out with the improved version, the L85A2, which is now the UK service rifle and by reports I've seen very reliable.

You want a FUBARed rifle program check out the FAMAS
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.
