My mosin stock refinish
I picked this up from toddinlou the wood was in bad shape so I decided to try and refinish it instead of just buy an ATI stock for it. I did not think to get before hand pictures but I will give you pictures of where it is at right now.
The end of the hand guard was damaged so I filed the other side down to match easy fix.
It was stripped down using various strippers and alcohol in mineral spirits. And I am Refinishing it using Birchwood and Casey true oil. This is on its fourth coat.
Not the prettiest wood to start with but I feel it will look better than the nastiness it was before

Re: My mosin stock refinish
Nice. I have a stock for a 91/30 that I have been wanting to strip and refinish. Seeing this thread makes me want to get started on it.
How long did ti take to strip??
