What is the breakdown of parts to make this rifle? If I had to have one fun-gun bolt action, this would be it. I may even sell off a couple of other toys to build this one.

AICS V2
Rem 700 action
Harris swivel bipods
Looks like a Surefire can
Base ?
Rings?
Scope?
Also if that is a factory bbl it is likely the 5r (possibly 300win mag)
I can't remember who makes the free float accessory rail but I know it's around $400.

Wish I could help more.

The barrel should be a 26.5in Lilja Precision 416 stainless barrel with a 1:10 twist. If you want to get REALLY picky it's an A191 chamber, not standard .300WinMag. Basically it's optimized for a specific .300WinMag load (A191, real shocker). The throat is longer, allowing longer bullets to be used. You may see reduced accuracy if standard .300WinMag is used.

To elaborate on the scope, it should be a Nightforce 5.5-22x56 with a mildot reticle.

Image Just playing around with this, don't have a lot of $$ in it. Winchester model 70 300 win mag, scope decent, i have a Harris bi-pod for it. Like i said just playing around with it. Would like to shoot 600 yds or better, just to try something different.

Great,
Now, I just need to start finding out where the money is going to come from. I am getting my re-enlistment bonus in Sept...

On the stock, is the only different between 1.5 and 2.0 the folding stock? The 1.5 is .2lbs lighter and $214 cheaper and that's the only different I can find.

The stock on mine is a Choate ultimate there all under $200.00, and you can add weight with plates on the rear, i was in a hurry to post my camo job, so didn't put the swivel base for the bi-pod on it.

Yep pretty much, the 1.5 is fixed and the 2.0 is folding... that's pretty much the only advantage to it

If I went with any other stock, it'd be...

I'm pretty set on the 1.5 though, I don't need to have a folding stock.

Next time we're at a shoot, I'd like check out your rifle. Also, what'd you do for a receiver and action? Some forums I've read, guys just bought a SPS and stripped it down.

DD is standard Remington action/barrel

700 require barrel wrench and action blocks

Unless you want to change a factory barrel /action is just fine.

So a standard SPS for the action, barrel and etc is just fine? I guess so to start at least. Could I expect sub-MOA groups out of it or am I getting too greedy for factory parts?

With the chassis stock and correct ammo( tuned for gun/match grade)
Good optics and base
Tuned trigger

The answer is yes.

It is possible to get that out of a wood stocked rifle.

Twenty years ago there where no chassis stocks

I would float barrel , pillar bed with alunimum pillars and acraglass /bisonite

Tune the trigger , use weaver rings/bases with 3x9x32 Tasco scopes and get .75 to 1 MOA
With factory parts

That IS a sexy rifle, about the only change I'd make is more of a woodland camo.
