My newly redone Mauser... What would you do if it were your's? Rattle can, have a nice coating put on it, or other options? Was an old sporterized 8mauser my Papaw gave me 30+ years ago, so it will never willingly go anywhere.

If one color, I'd Duracoat it.

Wall hanger=duracoat

Tool=spray paint

I much prefer the visual look of spray paint and find it easy to switch up for seasons, a light dusting of the right color matches it up better. I dont do all that stenciling stuff, takes to long and only feeds my ego.

Another option is just do the stock, somthing like the marble paint or textured paint, somthing that looks like McMillan or hs type stocks

I'm with SOL and would go for just the stock.

You could do something crazy like gloss epoxy hot rod red

Also you could get it reblued to a high gloss

If the gun has sentimental value, this is what I'd do.
None of my Duracoat coat or rattle can guns hang on a wall or are used as hammers.
Duracoat would be the 4x4 rugged ass truck that you don't mind getting wet or muddy.
Rattle cans get scratched getting out of the safe.
